The Irish festival of Lughnasadh (Loo-na-sa) marks the changing seasons and the beginning of Harvest.  To celebrate, children's authors, Marianne McShane and Máire Zepf, have uncovered some of the weird and wonderful seasonal tales from Irish folklore and mythology to share with your little ones.

Come along to this hands-on interactive children's workshop as our storytellers weave new life into old stories!

Saturday 5th August (11:00 to 12:30)

Storyteller, Marianne McShane, will be joining us to tell the dramatic tale of Lugh Lámhfhada and the evil cyclops Balor, rooted in Irish folklore. Let your little ones get creative as they bring this story to life through acting, props and their own imagination, guided by Marianne and fellow children's author, Máire Zepf, on the Bleaching Green.
