with Cultured Club
CancelledThis event has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Keep you eyes peeled for a new date coming soon.
Time: 10:00 to 13:30
As nature unfurls, blooms and shoots up from the earth at the Ulster Folk Museum, there is an abundance of plants growing in the hedgerows and fields, perfect for seasonal remedy exploration.
Join expert Dearbhla Reynolds for a unique workshop where you’ll learn about the uses for some of these plants, including which can be used as infusions and tinctures to soothe summer ails, or provide an energy boost for the longer days.
During the workshop you’ll explore the Folk Museum site stopping along the way to refresh with a foraged beverage and demonstrations with your foraged finds. On your return to the Parochial Hall Dearbhla will continue to explore more recipes made from fresh summer growth and blossom.
This workshop will be a unique blend of nature, hands on practical experiences, and a chance to discover new tastes and an appreciation for the season.
- All remedies and recipes will be shared post workshop via email to all participants.
- Please contact [email protected] at the time of booking with any allergen information as this is a sampling taste-as-you-go workshop.
- This event is for ages 12+ and those under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
