Want to learn more about the plants and animals at the Ulster Folk Museum? Come along to our Explore: Urban Nature plots on select Wednesdays in August. In these drop-in sessions, follow the example of historic naturalists by sketching and closely observing the flowers and insects in the environment. While you draw, our Education Officer will share information about biodiversity and its importance at the museum. 

While you're there, take the opportunity to ask our Education Team more about the exciting scientific research happening at the Folk Museum!

Nature Notebook will take place on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 28th August - from 11:00 to 12:30 & 14:00 to 15:30 

What to know:

  • This event will take place at the Explore: Urban Nature plots behind the Ulster Folk Museum Ticket Office.
  • Please note this event is weather permitting. 
  • The Nature Notebook sessions are drop-in, no need to book. 
  • Sketching materials will be provided.
  • This event is included with your General Admission ticket.
