Come along to the Ulster Folk Museum on Saturday 3rd May for a children's workshop focusing on Raptors and Birds of Prey. 

In this special event, Dr  Eimear Rooney from the Northern Ireland Raptor Study Group will be showing children how to identify raptors with classroom based activities, plus arts and crafts. There will also be outdoor activities in Drumcree Field, plus a visit from the Northern Ireland School of Falconry!

On the day... 

11:00 to 12:30 - Classroom based activities and training on identifying raptors (Lagan Room)
LUNCH from 12:30 to 13:00 
13:00 to 14:00 - Outdoor activities with Northern Ireland School of Falconry (Drumcree Field)
14:00 to 15:00 - Arts and crafts activities

Please check with your ticket at the admissions kiosk before meeting at the Lagan Room. 

What to know:

  • This event takes place on Saturday 3rd May from 11:00 to 15:00. 
  • Tickets are £10 per child (aged 8+), and adult tickets are free. 
  • All levels of species identification experience are welcome. 
  • Suitable clothing and footwear for outside.
  • Please consider bringing along sunscreen, a hat and water.
  • Please bring a packed lunch
